FOR THE REGENERATION OF ECOSYSTEMS

Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in Africa, with a population of around 27 million. The majority of its population relies on traditional agriculture and livestock farming for their livelihood. Despite being rich in resources and natural sites, Madagascar has been facing environmental challenges in recent years, including solid waste, forest degradation, and water pollution. Unfortunately, the local population is not fully aware of the value and ecotourism potential of their region.

One of the reasons for this lack of awareness is the absence of environmental education activities in school curricula, such as field trips and green classes. Additionally, environmental associations are rare in the region, further limiting opportunities for environmental education. Consequently, the younger generation is not adequately informed about environmental protection and is not actively involved in preserving the natural resources of their region.

The objective of the project is to promote the conservation of natural resources by raising environmental awareness and providing education within national parks, focusing on local issues. To achieve this, the project targets primary and secondary school students, who account for over 300,000 individuals.
