Day 1: Antananarivo – Ihosy
We depart very early after breakfast, taking National Road No. 7 with all participants traveling by car. Along the way, enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the highlands and a culinary stop in Behenjy to taste its famous foie gras. Continuing south, we discover a local tradition and craft in Ambatolampy: aluminum pot making, as well as the popular tabletop game of babyfoot (table football) played with four control bars.
Our next stop is Antsirabe, in the volcanic highlands, for a short snack break and refueling. We also take time to visit the charming old train station before continuing to Ambositra, a farming town renowned for its woodcarving traditions that honor the Zafimaniry people, whose ancestral craftsmanship has been passed down for generations.
By late morning, lunch is served in Ambohimasoa at Hotely le Pont, conveniently located in the town center along the main road. We then continue to Ihosy, where we settle into our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Ihosy – Tuléar
After breakfast at the hotel, we continue along the RN7 to explore the stunning Ihorombe Plateau, where golden wheat fields blend into rolling plains and wild, rugged nature surrounds the road. The route between Isalo and Ilakaka offers breathtaking views before leading us into a semi-arid landscape where the horizon stretches across open savannah.
We reach Tuléar in time for lunch at Le Jardin de Giancarlo, famous for its generous seafood and fish dishes, paired with a colorful, vibrant décor. The rest of the day is free to relax at the hotel and unwind.
